Pelvic effusion is divided into physiological pelvic effusion and pathological pelvic effusion. Physiological pelvic effusion is formed when a small amount of exudate accumulates in the pelvic organs at the bottom of the pelvis during menstruation or ovulation. Pathological pelvic effusion may be formed due to pelvic inflammatory disease stimulating the increase of pelvic peritonitis inflammatory exudate. Pelvic effusion can also be caused by pelvic tumors, liver and kidney diseases, appendicitis or peritonitis. Physiological pelvic effusion generally does not require special treatment and can be absorbed by itself. If it is pelvic inflammatory disease or tumor effusion, the amount of effusion is generally more than 100 ml, and targeted treatment should be carried out according to the cause. Symptoms of pelvic effusion In the case of a small amount of pelvic effusion, there are generally no symptoms. If the color Doppler ultrasound of the pelvic effusion indicates less than 10, this situation can be observed. If the pelvic effusion is greater than 10, there will generally be serious conditions such as lower abdominal pain, lower abdominal swelling, and anal swelling, and some will be accompanied by abnormal secretions. If the volume of pelvic effusion is large, you must go to the hospital for relevant examinations and then symptomatic treatment. This test is usually performed in the hospital with a color Doppler ultrasound to determine the amount of effusion. If the symptoms are obvious, symptomatic treatment can be achieved through intravenous anti-inflammatory drugs or oral medications, or pelvic effusion can be treated with Chinese medicine enema plus physical therapy. Once a woman has discomfort in her lower abdomen, she must go to the hospital to check whether there is pelvic effusion. How is pelvic effusion treated? Pelvic effusion is mostly a physiological phenomenon and does not require treatment, because all women can have a certain amount of lubrication between the pelvic organs. A small amount of pelvic effusion often exists by itself. If there is too much pelvic effusion or abdominal pain, it may also be related to inflammation. This is an internal gynecological diagnostic examination. If there is tenderness in the uterus and adnexal area, inflammation should also be treated. Some pelvic effusions are related to tumors, so we can't just look at B-ultrasound examinations for treatment. |
