In the study, the authors used data from a program called the Henry Ford Exercise Testing Program and analyzed experimental data from more than 10,000 subjects. Among these subjects, the average follow-up period was 8.6 years, with 9.5% of male subjects and 7.4% of female subjects followed until their death. The data analysis results show that compared with the subjects whose physical exercise level remained low, the subjects whose daily exercise level was originally low but then increased to moderate-intensity exercise had a lower risk of death, with a decrease of about 44% for male subjects and 37% for female subjects. .
