For people who have no exercise habits, it is not easy to start a regular exercise lifestyle, but persistent exercise can not only help people maintain a better body shape, but also has many benefits for physical health. According to the latest publication from Henry Ford Hospital in the United States recently published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings, exercise does have the potential to reduce the risk of death and help prolong life. In the study, the authors used data from a program called the Henry Ford Exercise Testing Program and analyzed experimental data from more than 10,000 subjects. Among these subjects, the average follow-up period was 8.6 years, with 9.5% of male subjects and 7.4% of female subjects followed until their death. The data analysis results show that compared with the subjects whose physical exercise level remained low, the subjects whose daily exercise level was originally low but then increased to moderate-intensity exercise had a lower risk of death, with a decrease of about 44% for male subjects and 37% for female subjects. . The study was published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings, Vol. 92, No. 3, pp. 383-390 This article is from ELSEVIER Global Pharmaceutical News |
