Nutritionist Xu Qiongyue emphasized that nuts are originally alkaline foods, but they may become acidic foods after frying, grilling, cooking and deep-frying. According to a weight control survey conducted by the National Health Administration during last year's Spring Festival, Chinese people gained an average of 1.7 kilograms during the festival.
