How to relieve the autumn appetite? Eating almonds will not make you fat and control your appetite

Is your stomach growling again? We are entering the "autumn of appetite". In addition to hairy crabs, there are also foods such as chestnuts, saury, matsutake mushrooms, persimmons, etc., which whet our appetite and make it hard to resist delicious food. Faced with so many temptations, if you want to control your food intake, you need to use some tips. Recently, a US study found that almonds, a common nut food, can help suppress appetite, and daily consumption will not cause weight gain.

Almonds are healthy foods that help protect your heart and contain high-quality cholesterol. Studies have also found that they can suppress appetite and prevent weight gain.

According to a report in the U.S. Medical Daily, a study led by Purdue University divided 137 diabetic patients into five groups for the experiment. One group was required not to consume any nuts at all, while the other four groups consumed 1.5 ounces (about 35 almonds) at breakfast, lunch, or 2 hours before meals in the morning and afternoon for a period of 4 weeks. During the experiment, all eating habits were based on individual habits and were not deliberately controlled.

A report published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition pointed out that despite consuming 250 calories more per day, the four groups of subjects unexpectedly did not increase their total calorie intake or gain weight throughout the day; in other words, after consuming almonds, their food intake for three meals decreased.

Research results show that almonds have an effect on appetite suppression, and almonds themselves are nutritious foods. Replacing high-sugar snacks with almonds can help balance your diet and increase your intake of vitamins and trace minerals.

Although 250 calories of almonds were eaten every day during the experiment, the amount consumed in the three meals was also reduced, so there was no weight gain.

Almonds contain monounsaturated fatty acids, magnesium, zinc, and potassium, and the vitamin E content is more than 10 times that of other nuts. 50 grams of almonds (about 35 pieces) can provide 100% of the vitamin E needed by the human body in a day. In addition, almonds are rich in dietary fiber, which is 4 to 5 times that of sweet potatoes. They can easily make you feel full and promote intestinal motility, helping to improve constipation.

Note: According to Wikipedia, the almond referred to here is originally called "almond" in English, which is also translated as almond. It is different from the almond fruit produced by traditional Chinese apricot trees and the fruit used to make almond tea. Generally, almond is translated as almond in the market, which may easily cause misunderstanding.
