A woman who shook the hula hoop 500 times a day had corpus luteum rupture and bleeding

Summer is coming, and many women have begun weight loss and other maintenance plans in order to lose weight and show off their slim figures. However, be careful not to go too far. According to a report on China's Xinhua News Agency news website, a 28-year-old woman who used a hula hoop to lose weight actually suffered from unbearable abdominal pain and corpus luteum rupture and bleeding, and was rushed to the hospital.

Xiao Lin (pseudonym), a 28-year-old woman from Nanjing, China, shakes the hula hoop every day to get rid of the fat on her waist. However, because the hula hoop she chose was too heavy, bruises often appeared on her waist, but she did not care. About a week ago, Xiao Lin's stomach began to ache slightly, and after shaking the hula hoop 1,000 times yesterday afternoon, she experienced severe pain in the lower right abdomen, bloating, vomiting, etc. At night, she was sweating all over and her limbs were cold, so she was rushed to Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Huang Haimei, deputy chief Chinese medicine physician of the Department of Gynecology at Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, pointed out that Xiaolin had a ruptured corpus luteum. The wound was 1.5 cm in diameter and the amount of intra-abdominal bleeding reached 2300 ml. (Generally, blood transfusion is required if blood loss is 800 ml). The massive blood loss caused hypotension and hemorrhagic shock. If the treatment is delayed, her life may be in danger.

If you want to lose weight through exercise, it is best to take a gradual approach. Overly intense exercise or extreme fasting methods can cause serious harm to your health. When choosing sports assistive equipment, you should also pay attention to whether it is suitable for you and start using it from the initial stage to avoid putting too much strain on your body.

【Small dictionary/Acute abdomen due to corpus luteum rupture】

Corpus luteum rupture is one of the more common gynecological acute abdominal diseases, which is more common in young women aged 14 to 30. During the menstrual cycle, women's ovaries will produce follicles, and after ovulation, the follicles will form a corpus luteum, which is generally about 1.8 to 2 centimeters long. Before menstruation, the corpus luteum is in a state of congestion, and if it is affected by external force at this time, it is easy to rupture. Generally speaking, the symptoms are mild such as lower abdominal pain. In severe cases, blood can flow into the abdominal cavity, causing persistent abdominal pain and hemorrhagic shock.
