Chronic bronchitis refers to a chronic nonspecific inflammation of the trachea, bronchial mucosa and surrounding tissues. There is often a chronic cough, sputum or wheezing, which occurs for 3 months each year for 2 consecutive years or more. Some patients may develop obstructive pulmonary emphysema and chronic cor pulmonale. There are two main types of chronic bronchitis: simple type and asthmatic type. The simple type is mainly manifested by cough and sputum; the wheezing type, in addition to cough and sputum, also has wheezing, accompanied by wheezing. The wheezing is aggravated during coughing paroxysms and is more obvious during sleep.

【Dietary Dos and Don’ts】

1. Eat a light diet and eat more high-vitamin and high-protein foods

Fresh vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, and rapeseed can supplement a variety of vitamins and inorganic salts, and have the effects of clearing phlegm, reducing heat, and promoting bowel movements. At the same time, you should supplement protein to enhance the body's immunity.

3. Avoid eating seafood or greasy food

4. Avoid spicy food

Foods such as chili, pepper, garlic, onion, and leek can irritate the respiratory tract and aggravate the condition.

5. Avoid eating salty, sweet, raw or cold food

【Diet therapy recipe】

Sichuan Fritillary and Duck Pear Soup

  • Ingredients: 20 grams of Fritillaria cirrhosa and 300 grams of duck pear. Seasoning: appropriate amount of rock sugar.

  • practice:

    1. Wash the pears, remove the cores and cut into pieces; soak the Fritillaria cirrhosa in warm water and wash.

    2. Put the duck pear pieces and Sichuan Fritillaria into a large bowl, steam them over high heat for 5 minutes, then reduce to low heat and steam for about 20 minutes.

    3. Add rock sugar and steam until melted.

  • Efficacy: This soup protects the trachea, relieves cough and reduces phlegm, and has the effect of regulating gastrointestinal function.

Pig Lung, Lily, Almond Soup

  • Ingredients: 1 pair of pig lungs, 20 grams of dried lily, 30 grams of candied dates, 25 grams of almonds, and appropriate amounts of scallion slices and ginger slices.

  • Seasoning: salt and cooking rice wine in appropriate amounts.

    1. Wash the pig lungs, drain them, cut them into small pieces, put them into a boiling water pot to remove the blood, and take them out; soak the dried lilies in warm water and wash them; wash the almonds and candied dates separately.

    2. Pour an appropriate amount of water into the pot, add the pig lung, lily, candied dates, almonds, green onion slices, ginger slices, and cooking rice wine, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for about 2 hours.

When done, add salt to taste.

  • Efficacy: Ginger is warm in nature and spicy in taste, and has the effects of dispelling cold and sweating, relieving exterior symptoms and expelling wind; scallion is warm in nature, and has the effects of regulating body temperature, promoting sweat secretion, and can relieve chronic bronchitis.

  • Location: Below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra, approximately level with the two acromion processes. Alternatively, you can sit upright at a desk and feel below the highest protrusion on the back of the neck.

  • Massage method: Sit upright and press the Dazhui point with your middle finger 20 to 30 times.
