For salty Yuanxiao, you can add vegetables such as onions, chrysanthemums, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, and mushrooms to the soup to increase the intake of dietary fiber. Avoid using fried onions and lard when seasoning. You can use bonito and vegetable broth to increase the sweetness and freshness. The recommended amount of food is two fresh meat Yuanxiao, which contains about 140 calories, and should be replaced with staple foods, meat and fats in the diet.

Sweet Yuanxiao often uses peanuts or sesame seeds as fillings, most of which are high in sugar, fat and calories. Therefore, for nutritional balance, your intake should be reduced.
