What are the complications of adenomyosis?

In recent years, more and more patients have suffered from adenomyosis. This disease seriously endangers the health and life of female friends. Do you know the complications of adenomyosis? Let's see

Adenomyosis, also known as internal endometriosis, is a special type of invasion of the endometrium into the myometrium of the uterus. It can coexist with "external" or pelvic endometriosis. The endometrium can invade the myometrium of the uterus in two ways: diffuse and localized.

Dysmenorrhea is accompanied by symptoms such as progressive aggravation, menstrual abnormalities, infertility, dyspareunia, pelvic pain, low fever, increased leucorrhea, and menstrual pain. The cause of dysmenorrhea may be that the ectopic endometrium increases the local pressure outside the lesion with ovarian bleeding, stimulating the spasm and contraction of the surrounding smooth muscle tissue, causing pain.

Adenomyosis may still have malignant changes, but generally speaking, the probability of malignant changes is not high, the disease grows slowly, usually regresses during pregnancy, and stops developing after menopause, so the prognosis is generally good. If the lesion is too extensive or the intestine is invaded, serious complications of intestinal obstruction may occur. Adenomyosis rarely complicates pregnancy, and pregnancy is also prone to miscarriage, premature birth or tubal pregnancy.

Irregular menstruation is also the main hazard of adenomyosis. Normal menstruation is one of the external manifestations of women's health. Most women with menstrual disorders have a low self-evaluation of their health. The specific manifestations of menstrual disorders caused by adenomyosis are: early menstruation, prolonged menstruation, and menorrhagia. Some patients often suffer from anemia due to menorrhagia. Long-term bleeding can lead to anemia and concurrent infection.

After the editor's introduction, friends already know what the complications of adenomyosis are. This disease may lead to infertility. Sisters should actively prevent this disease and try to avoid the pain caused by this disease.
