Does endometriosis cause the uterus to swell?

Endometriosis not only affects the uterus, but also causes the patient to have "pneumothorax" during menstruation, which has many effects. So, will the uterus swell with endometriosis?

Patients with endometriosis often have an enlarged uterus, but it rarely lasts more than 3 months of pregnancy. It is usually uniformly enlarged, and you may also feel that a certain part is more prominent like a uterine fibroid. If it is a posterior uterus, it is often adhered and fixed. In the rectouterine pouch, uterosacral ligament or posterior wall of the cervix, one or two or more hard nodules, such as the size of mung beans or soybeans, can often be touched. Most of them are obviously tender, and the rectal examination is more obvious. This is very important. Occasionally, large black and purple bleeding spots or nodules can be seen in the posterior fornix of the vagina. If there are many lesions in the rectum, a hard lump can be touched, and it may even be misdiagnosed as rectal cancer.

Ovarian hematoma is often adhered and fixed to the surrounding area. During gynecological bimanual examination, a mass with high tension and tenderness can be felt. Combined with the history of infertility, it is easy to misdiagnose as adnexitis. Internal bleeding occurs after rupture, which manifests as acute abdominal pain.

There are many ways to prevent endometriosis, and strengthening physical fitness through exercise is a common prevention method:

Women who regularly participate in exercise have a more robust immune system. The white blood cells in their bodies, especially the phagocytes, are more active and can process the menstrual blood and endometrial tissue. Exercise can increase the concentration of male hormones in the body, and male hormones can counteract the effects of female hormones.

Studies have shown that women who exercise more than 2 hours a week have twice the risk of endometriosis than those who do not exercise. Running and jumping are the best exercises because they have the strongest pulling and stimulating effects on muscles and joints, and the latter can increase the concentration of male hormones.
