What is an ovarian cyst? Are there obvious symptoms?

Huge ovarian tumors can cause dyspnea and palpitations, and ovarian tumors with a lot of ascites can also cause these symptoms. However, the dyspnea of some patients with ovarian tumors is caused by pleural effusion on one or both sides; it is usually combined with ascites to form the so-called ruptured ovarian cyst. The harm of ovarian cysts is very serious. Huge benign ovarian cysts fill the entire abdominal cavity, increase intra-abdominal pressure, affect the venous return of the lower limbs, and can cause edema of the abdominal wall and both lower limbs.

Malignant ovarian cysts fixed in the pelvic cavity compress the iliac vein, often causing edema on one side of the lower limb. The pelvic and abdominal organs are compressed, causing dysuria, urinary retention, rapid defecation or poor defecation. After an ovarian cyst is discovered, it should be treated actively.
