Is fertility possible with adenomyosis?

Is it possible to have a baby with adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis can affect women's fertility. The presence of endometriosis not only affects women's fertility, but also has a great impact on women's health.

The main reasons for female infertility caused by adenomyosis are as follows:

1. Impact on the fallopian tubes and ovaries: Adenomyosis can compress the fallopian tubes, causing them to deform, and the eggs cannot be absorbed normally, leading to blockage of the fallopian tubes, sperm cannot enter normally, and the ovaries cannot ovulate normally, thereby affecting women's fertility and causing infertility.

2. Impact on the endometrium: Adenomyosis is generally distributed under the endometrium, which will affect women's normal physiology and even stop menstruation, causing uterine bleeding, leading to endometrial ischemia, and the inability of sperm to combine with the egg normally, leading to infertility.

3. Impact on the fertilized egg: Adenomyosis will accelerate the contraction ability of the uterus, making it far higher than normal, making it difficult for the fertilized egg to land and prone to infertility. Even if the fertilized egg successfully lands, the possibility of miscarriage is greater.

Symptoms of adenomyosis:

1. Menstrual disorders: The main manifestations are prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual volume. Some patients may also experience bleeding before and after menstruation. Severe patients may develop anemia.

2. Dysmenorrhea: Secondary progressive pain often occurs one week before menstruation. When menstruation ends, dysmenorrhea will be relieved. This is because under the influence of ovarian hormones, uterine muscle hormones cause congestion, swelling and bleeding.

3. Sexual pain: Ectopic endometrium in the pelvis often forms nodular lesions in the rectouterine fossa, causing pain when the cervix collides with the uterus and improves.
