What is the diagnosis of pelvic inflammatory disease?

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a gynecological disease that everyone is familiar with. When this disease occurs, don't be too anxious. As we all know, such an attitude is extremely detrimental to treatment. Only the right attitude can help us solve those more harmful diseases.

For any disease, the earlier it is discovered, the more beneficial it is to the patient's physical and mental health. In this way, we can choose the treatment suitable for the patient in time.

1. Clinical symptoms: Chronic symptoms include lower abdominal distension, pain and soreness at the bottom of the waist, which are often aggravated after fatigue, sexual intercourse and before and after menstruation. The second is abnormal menstruation and irregular menstruation. Some women may experience neurasthenia symptoms such as lack of energy, general discomfort and insomnia when the disease lasts for a long time. Acute symptoms include lower abdominal pain, fever, increased vaginal secretions, persistent abdominal pain, and aggravation after activities or sexual intercourse. If the condition is serious, there may be chills, high fever, headache and loss of appetite.

2. Posterior fornix puncture: Posterior fornix puncture or incision plays a certain role in diagnosis or treatment in clinical practice. It is simple and easy to perform. During the operation, attention should be paid to the accuracy of the puncture or incision site, and the intestinal tract should not be injured. The puncture fluid should be sent for examination. It is mainly used for suspected pelvic fluid, blood accumulation or pus accumulation. Puncture and fluid extraction can be performed to understand the nature of the effusion.

3. Ultrasound examination: mainly B-type or grayscale ultrasound scanning and filming. This technology has an 85% accuracy in identifying masses or abscesses formed by adhesions of the fallopian tubes, ovaries and intestines. However, mild or moderate pelvic inflammatory disease is difficult to show characteristics in B-type ultrasound images.
