Don’t use abortion as a “cure” for unwanted pregnancy

Artificial abortion is a remedial measure after an unexpected pregnancy, but it must not be used as a contraceptive method. Because the harm of artificial abortion is very great. Too many painless abortions can easily lead to habitual abortion. Each abortion usually occurs in the same month of pregnancy, and its course is the same as that of a general abortion. The causes of early abortion are often corpus luteum dysfunction, hypothyroidism, embryonic chromosomal abnormalities, etc. The most common causes of late abortion are relaxation of the internal cervical os, uterine malformations, uterine fibroids, etc. After pregnancy, the relaxation of the internal cervical os often occurs in the second trimester of pregnancy. The fetus grows, the amniotic fluid increases, the gravity in the uterine cavity increases, the fetal sac protrudes to the internal cervical os, and the cervix gradually shortens and expands.

Most patients have no symptoms, and the membranes rupture prematurely, and the fetus can be expelled. If the bleeding time is too long, or tissue remains in the uterine cavity, it may cause intrauterine infection. In severe cases, the infection can spread to the pelvic cavity, abdominal cavity, and even the whole body, with complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis, sepsis, and septic shock, which is called abortion infection.

Clinically, three or more spontaneous abortions are called habitual abortions. Habitual abortions are very harmful to the body. In life, we must pay attention to the prevention of habitual abortions. How to prevent habitual abortions? The prevention methods are as follows:

1. Live a regular life: You should get at least 8 hours of sleep a day, and develop a habit of regular bowel movements to keep your bowel movements smooth.

2. Pay attention to personal hygiene: change clothes and take a bath frequently. Especially pay attention to menstrual hygiene to avoid any infection.

3. Choose a suitable diet: Food should be easy to digest. Especially choose foods rich in various vitamins and trace elements, and be cautious about taking foods with cold properties.

4. Keep a happy mood: You must keep a happy mood and avoid all kinds of stimulation. Use a variety of methods to eliminate tension, boredom, and fear to harmonize your emotions.

5. Be careful to avoid sexual intercourse: Sexual intercourse should be avoided within three months of pregnancy and after seven months. Those with habitual miscarriage should strictly prohibit sexual intercourse during this period.

6. Regular prenatal check-ups: Regular prenatal check-ups should be started in the second trimester so that the doctor can detect and deal with abnormal conditions in a timely manner and provide guidance for pregnancy care.
