What are the classifications of adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis is a common disease among modern women, and many patients don't know enough about it. So, what are the classifications of adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis can be divided into two main types: diffuse and localized.

Below is a brief introduction to the symptoms and signs of adenomyosis.

1. Symptoms

1. Menstrual disorders:

The main manifestations are prolonged menstrual period and increased menstrual volume. Some patients may also experience spotting before and after menstruation. Severe patients may develop anemia.

2. Dysmenorrhea:

The characteristic is secondary progressive dysmenorrhea. It often starts one week before menstruation and is relieved when the menstrual period ends. Taking painkillers can relieve dysmenorrhea in the early stage, but as the disease progresses, the dosage of painkillers required for dysmenorrhea increases significantly, making it unbearable for patients.

3Others:

About 35% of patients have no obvious symptoms.

2. Physical signs

Gynecological examination shows that the uterus is often uniformly enlarged and spherical, and adenomyoma may appear as hard nodules. The uterus is generally no larger than 12 weeks of pregnancy. The uterus is tender near the menstrual period; during the menstrual period, the uterus is enlarged, softened, and tenderness is more obvious than usual; after the menstrual period, the uterus shrinks. The uterus is often adhered to the surrounding area, especially the rectum at the back, and has poor mobility. 15% to 40% of patients have endometriosis, and about half of the patients have uterine fibroids.

During menstruation, you should take good care of yourself, pay attention to controlling your emotions, and don't hold your temper, otherwise it will lead to endocrine changes. I wish all patients get rid of the troubles of the disease as soon as possible.
