What harm does hydatidiform mole do to the body?

After hydatidiform mole occurs, the patient may suffer from heavy bleeding, incomplete abortion, hydatidiform mole embolism, hydatidiform mole cancer and other dangers.

1. Heavy bleeding: If pregnant women fail to diagnose and treat hydatidiform mole in time, it will lead to repeated bleeding, which can easily lead to uterine blood accumulation and blood loss. Heavy bleeding may also occur when the foam tissue is discharged. Some anemic patients are prone to hemorrhagic shock or even death due to excessive bleeding.

2. Incomplete abortion of hydatidiform mole: After a spontaneous abortion or artificial abortion, residual blisters may appear in the patient's body, which need to be treated by curettage. For patients with long-term blisters and infection, antibiotics need to be used before curettage. For patients with more uterine contents, a second curettage is required to avoid the accumulation of blisters in the body and cause heavy bleeding.

3. Hydatidiform mole embolism: The blister-like fetal mass in the uterus can circulate with the blood or swim to other parts of the body, most commonly to the lungs and vagina, and easily form blood foci in the body. Some hydatidiform mole embolism can disappear on its own, but some lesions are prone to malignant tumor metastasis and need to be removed by surgery.

4. Mole canceration: When mole canceration occurs, it can cause severe invasive mole or choriocarcinoma. Moreover, the proportion of malignant transformation of this disease is relatively high, which can easily lead to the deterioration of the patient's condition or even induce death. Some patients with severe conditions may even experience heavy bleeding, which affects the patient's health.
