What causes bacterial vaginosis?

1. Vaginal flora imbalance

Under normal circumstances, there are many microorganisms in the vagina, including lactobacilli, gram-positive cocci, and anaerobic bacteria. When these flora are out of balance, it may lead to overgrowth of harmful bacteria, which in turn causes bacterial vaginitis. It is recommended to reduce the use of antibacterial washes and replace them with clean water to wash the vulva to meet daily cleaning needs.

5. Friction from tight clothing

Friction from tight clothing can cause poor local blood circulation, which can easily lead to retention of secretions, providing favorable conditions for bacteria and thus inducing infection. Usually, try to wear loose and comfortable cotton underwear and avoid wearing tight clothing made of chemical fiber.
