The proliferative form of vulvar leukoplakia is divided into different stages:

Stage I hyperplastic type: The main manifestation is vulvar itching. Some patients will experience severe itching, which will worsen at night. Scratching often leads to local redness, swelling and ulceration. At the same time, they may feel burning or other discomfort symptoms.

Stage II hyperplastic type: Based on the symptoms of stage I, the skin in the affected area will show keratinization and hyperplasia, and the vulvar skin may also show mild hypopigmentation in the form of dots or small white papules, and the surface will appear frosty white.

Stage III hyperplastic type: The skin keratin hyperplasia is very serious, the stratum corneum falls off repeatedly, or scratching causes swelling, edema, cracking, and erosion of the vulva, which may be accompanied by intense itching and pain.
