Can adenomyosis become malignant?

Adenomyosis has become a common gynecological disease in modern women. As women pay more and more attention to their health, this disease will bring many adverse effects to women's bodies, just like uterine fibroids. Will adenomyosis worsen?

Adenomyosis may still have malignant changes, but generally speaking, the possibility of malignant changes is not high, the disease grows slowly, usually regresses during pregnancy, and stops developing after menopause, so the prognosis is generally good. If the lesion is too extensive or the intestines are attacked, serious complications of intestinal obstruction may occur. Adenomyosis rarely complicates pregnancy, but it is also easy to have miscarriage, premature birth or tubal pregnancy after pregnancy.

Knowing that adenomyosis will worsen, patients need to actively cooperate with treatment. The treatment methods for adenomyosis are as follows:

Mild patients can take contraceptives and progestin drugs, such as Fulon, Gestrogens, and Namectin.

Second, patients with moderate to severe symptoms can be injected with GnRH-a drugs such as Difilin and Norad, which have better treatment effects and fewer side effects. Continuous use for 4 months, once every 4 weeks, can reduce the volume of the uterus by more than 65%, relieve dysmenorrhea by more than 95%, and increase the chance of pregnancy.

Third, if the first two treatments are ineffective, hysterectomy can be considered if the patient has children.

Adenomyosis is a common and troublesome disease in women, and it may recur after treatment. Doctors need to provide personalized treatment based on the different conditions of the patient.
