Do multiple uterine fibroids affect pregnancy?

Multiple uterine fibroids, multiple sites are called multiple uterine fibroids. For example, the uterine body, cervix, broad ligament, and the number of uterine fibroids have little to do with it, but refer to the location. Growth in special sites such as the cervix and broad ligament must be treated early, not after it is too large. First of all, the difficulty and risk of surgery increase, which is not good for both patients and doctors, so this part of uterine fibroids needs early treatment; uterine fibroids, depending on whether the patient has symptoms, the treatment attitude is different, such as menstrual changes, quantity, cycle changes and other symptoms, must be treated; if it affects fertility, it must be treated; if there are symptoms in the urinary and digestive systems, such as frequent urination, urgency, and constipation, they also need to be treated.

Multiple uterine fibroids can be pregnant. Multiple uterine fibroids refer to the presence of both subserosal uterine fibroids, submucosal uterine fibroids, and intramural uterine fibroids in the same uterus. In this case, if the fibroids are not large, pregnancy is possible, but if the diameter of a single fibroid exceeds 5 cm, surgery should be performed first before considering pregnancy.

If it is a submucosal uterine fibroid that causes clinical menorrhagia or even anemia, it is recommended to consider pregnancy after surgery. During pregnancy, due to the influence of estrogen, uterine fibroids may grow particularly fast and may even undergo red degeneration, leading to acute abdomen. For women with uterine fibroids and pregnancy, regular prenatal examinations are necessary.
