Can I get pregnant with adenomyosis?

Patients with adenomyosis can become pregnant, and the progesterone secreted during pregnancy is the process of treating adenomyosis.

When the endometrial glands and stroma invade the myometrium, it is called adenomyosis. This disease is a type of endometriosis. Because the endometrium is stimulated by a single estrogen for a long time, the periodically shed endometrium is not discharged with menstrual blood, but grows on the myometrium, causing lumps to form on the uterine wall and eventually increasing the volume of the uterus. This disease mainly occurs in middle-aged women over 30 years old, especially menstruating women. The main symptoms are heavy menstruation, prolonged menstruation, and progressive dysmenorrhea that gradually worsens. However, patients with adenomyosis have infertility. Infertility has the following aspects:

1. Endocrine environment disorder in the body, increased estrogen, leading to abnormal ovulation;

2. Insufficient progesterone secretion leads to luteal insufficiency, resulting in long-term stimulation of the endometrium by a single estrogen;

3. The lesion causes irregular uterine contraction, which is not conducive to the implantation of the fertilized egg and causes dysmenorrhea;

4. Enlarged uterine cavity. When combined with adenomyosis, if the symptoms are not obvious, it is recommended that the patient seek treatment and get pregnant as soon as possible.

For patients with adenomyosis, they can first understand their condition, actively treat adenomyosis and dysmenorrhea, relieve the condition, and then reasonably prepare for pregnancy to maximize the safety of pregnant women and fetuses and minimize harm. They should also pay attention to their diet and eat less foods high in estrogen.
