What are the causes of cervical erosion? Summary of the causes of cervical erosion in women

Cervical erosion is common in married women. Common symptoms are heavy leucorrhea, yellow and sticky. Due to the different occurrence time of cervical erosion, it can be divided into congenital erosion and acquired erosion. When some unmarried women have heavy leucorrhea, they will also have such questions: Do they have cervical erosion? In fact, if unmarried women develop normally and are in good physical condition, the chance of retrograde infection through the vagina is very small, and the incidence of acquired cervical erosion caused by chronic cervicitis is also very low. About 15% to 20% of unmarried women may suffer from congenital cervical erosion. This is because the newborn is affected by maternal estrogen, which causes the junction of cervical squamous and columnar epithelium to move outward. If this cervical change persists, it becomes congenital cervical erosion. It looks like cervical erosion, but in fact there is no obvious cervical inflammation. Congenital cervical erosion can heal itself due to squamous epithelial metaplasia, or it can cause cervical inflammation due to secondary infection.

The main causes of acquired erosions are:

1. Some women often use high concentration disinfectant to wash the vagina, which is counterproductive and causes cervical erosion. It not only affects the growth of normal vaginal flora, but also reduces its ability to inhibit pathogenic bacteria. It can also cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage, eventually leading to cervical erosion.

2. If you do not pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene during sexual intercourse, bacteria will invade the vagina, which increases the possibility of women suffering from genital inflammation.

What are the causes of cervical erosion?

1. Taking medicine without authorization or delaying treatment

After suffering from cervical erosion, women must go to a professional hospital for regular treatment. Otherwise, taking medicine without authorization or delaying treatment will lead to worsening of the condition. Even if treatment is received later, it will greatly increase the difficulty of treatment and even cause serious consequences of repeated attacks of the disease. In addition, the treatment of cervical erosion should be based on the severity of the disease and the patient's physical condition. Different treatment methods should be selected, and template-based treatment should not be adopted.

2. Limited or incomplete treatment

Laser, microwave, Bohm light and other physical therapies are commonly used clinical treatments for cervical erosion. If the treatment range is too shallow or limited and the pathological tissue at the cervical erosion site cannot be completely destroyed, it will lead to residual pathological tissue and cause repeated attacks of the disease. In addition, the treatment of cervical erosion must be strictly carried out according to the course of treatment, and it cannot be abandoned halfway because the symptoms disappear.

3. Having sex too frequently

During the treatment of cervical erosion, the wound surface of cervical erosion has not yet been completely repaired. Frequent sexual intercourse of patients is likely to aggravate the wound surface lesions, affect the treatment effect or even lead to ineffective treatment. Even after treatment, patients should pay attention to the frequency of sexual intercourse, otherwise it is easy to cause recurrence of the disease.
