What is a cervical cyst?

1. The medical name of cervical Nabothian cyst is cervical gland cyst, which is a retention cyst caused by poor drainage of cervical gland secretions. It is divided into physiological and pathological categories.

2. Under normal circumstances, cervical gland secretions flow out naturally and mix with vaginal mucosal exudates and endometrial gland secretions to form private secretions. If the cervical gland opening is too narrow or blocked, it can cause poor drainage of glandular secretions, stagnation and formation of cysts. In most cases, the formation of this phenomenon is related to physiological changes. Cervical squamous epithelium and columnar epithelium can transform into each other with the secretion of hormones. In the chemical process, new squamous epithelium can cover the cervical gland duct or extend into the gland duct to form a cyst.

3. Some people are also related to pathological factors, such as improper sexual behavior or surgery causing local damage to the cervix, or long-term chronic inflammation of the cervix, which can lead to stenosis of the glandular duct opening and then form cysts. Most of them have no obvious clinical symptoms and are only discovered accidentally during gynecological examinations or ultrasound examinations. Under the premise of no symptoms, there is no special treatment.

4. If the disease has induced physical signs and has grown larger, physical therapy such as phototherapy, laser therapy, microwave therapy, etc. can be considered. Surgical resection is also necessary to treat the primary disease. During the treatment of gynecological diseases, pay attention to the cleanliness of the private parts, avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, and maintain an optimistic and cheerful attitude.
