Why do people often bleed after abortion?

Frequent bleeding after induced abortion is commonly caused by normal phenomena, uterine infection, uterine residue and other reasons, and requires targeted improvement based on individual reasons.

1. Normal phenomenon:

A small amount of bleeding within one week after an artificial abortion is generally normal, because the surgical process will cause varying degrees of damage to the endometrium. During this period, in addition to a small amount of bleeding, uterine contractions may also be accompanied by mild abdominal pain. During this period, we should try to stay in bed and strengthen personal hygiene.

2. Uterine infection:

If persistent bleeding occurs after artificial abortion, such as uterine infection, which can be seen for more than 10 days, it is mainly related to poor personal hygiene. In this case, it usually causes upward infection, affects wound repair, and causes repeated bleeding. During this period, it may also be accompanied by low back pain, lower abdominal distension, etc. Some patients will have fever symptoms. Anti-infection treatment with drugs such as amoxicillin capsules, metronidazole injection, and ceftriaxone sodium can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

3. Uterine cavity residue:

If the doctor performs an improper operation during the abortion process, it may result in incomplete abortion. When there are residues in the uterine cavity, symptoms of continuous bleeding may occur, which can usually be treated by uterine curettage.

In addition to the common situations mentioned above, it may also be due to poor uterine contraction and other reasons. If bleeding lasts too long, you should seek medical attention in time.
