Causes and hazards of cervical hypertrophy

Cervical hypertrophy is usually a symptom caused by various reasons such as chronic inflammation, long-term stimulation, cervical gland cysts, cervical injury, etc. If cervical hypertrophy persists for a long time, it may induce cervical cancer.

Causes and hazards of cervical hypertrophy:

1. Cause: For patients with cervical hypertrophy, if they have chronic cervicitis, the inflammation will stimulate the cervix for a long time, causing cervical congestion, edema, hyperplasia, etc. The inflammatory cells will infiltrate into the fibrous connective tissue, causing the cervix to enlarge and harden, thus causing cervical hypertrophy. At the same time, for patients with cervical glandular cysts, the squamous epithelium will replace the columnar epithelium, blocking the glandular duct opening and causing cervical hypertrophy. Cervical hypertrophy may also exist in women who have damaged the cervix due to multiple births or multiple artificial abortions.

2. Hazards: For patients with mild symptoms and a short period of cervical hypertrophy, it usually does not cause harm to the body. However, if the patient has cervical hypertrophy for a long time, it may cause certain damage to the cervical tissue, causing symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, cervical congestion and edema, and bleeding during sexual intercourse. In severe cases, it may induce cervical cancer.

Things to note about cervical hypertrophy:

Patients with cervical hypertrophy should pay attention to the cleaning and care of their private parts. They should wash their private parts and change their underwear every day to avoid bacterial growth and worsening of cervical inflammation.
