Can cervical erosion cause infertility?

Can cervical erosion cause infertility?

1. Clinically, cervical erosion refers to ectopia of the cervical columnar epithelium, which generally does not cause infertility.

2. The occurrence of cervical columnar epithelial ectopy is affected by estrogen. If the estrogen level is high, it will cause the columnar epithelium to expand outward and occupy part of the cervical vagina. If the estrogen level is low, the columnar epithelium will generally retreat into the cervical canal, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. Patients with cervical columnar epithelial ectopy generally have no obvious symptoms of discomfort and no complications. This phenomenon is not a disease, so it will not affect pregnancy.

3. If there is no secondary inflammatory lesion after cervical columnar epithelial ectopia, usually only regular gynecological examinations are required. If there is secondary inflammatory lesions, you can take antibiotics such as azithromycin capsules, roxithromycin capsules, amoxicillin capsules, etc. under the guidance of a doctor, which can gradually subside the inflammation. You can also follow the doctor's advice for laser treatment, cryotherapy, microwave treatment, etc. You should develop good living habits and maintain a regular work and rest schedule. Increase physical exercise appropriately, do not stay up late at night, change underwear frequently, and do not wash underwear with other clothes. Diet also needs to ensure adequate nutrition and avoid excessive picky eating, which is helpful for maintaining health.
