Will the condition of patients with adenomyosis worsen after abortion?

Will the condition of patients with adenomyosis worsen after miscarriage?

1. Generally speaking, most patients with adenomyosis will have their condition aggravated after each miscarriage. Although nothing can be done during the operation, which is basically the same as a miscarriage for ordinary women, adenomyosis will be further aggravated in a short period of time after the operation.

2. At present, abortion surgery is mainly divided into aspiration uterine surgery and curettage. Aspiration uterine surgery mainly uses negative pressure to suck out the embryonic tissue in the uterus, while curettage uses oval forceps to enter the uterus and clamp out a large amount of embryonic tissue in the uterus. Both surgical methods may cause injury to the uterine wall of patients with adenomyosis, causing the endometrium to continue to grow along the wound to the uterine muscle layer, causing the condition of patients with adenomyosis to worsen.

3. Adenomyosis is caused by the invasion of endometrial and stromal cells into the myometrium and growth, which can lead to symptoms such as uterine enlargement, uterine wall thickening, dysmenorrhea, abnormal menstruation, bleeding, sexual pain, infertility, anemia, etc.

4. We should know that, in general, the abnormal uterine environment caused by adenomyosis will affect ovulation and embryo implantation, making it difficult for patients to become pregnant, but not all patients with adenomyosis cannot become pregnant. But if patients become pregnant during the recovery period of the disease and want to have an abortion, they should consider it carefully, as this may aggravate their own disease.
