If there is cervical erosion, moderate cervical erosion is treated with drugs, mild cervical erosion does not require treatment, just observe first. If the cervical erosion is moderate or above, and the drug treatment effect is not good, then physical therapy is adopted.

Cervical erosion generally refers to cervical columnar epithelial ectopia. Cervical columnar epithelial ectopia is a normal physiological phenomenon with no special clinical manifestations. Some people may have contact bleeding, but it is just an individual difference in the cervix, just like some people will bleed from their teeth or mouth when they chew hard things. If the leucorrhea increases, is yellow, and has a peculiar smell, it is a manifestation of cervical inflammation. Cervical cysts and hypertrophy are also the result of chronic cervical inflammation.

Before puberty, women's ovarian function is not perfect, estrogen is low, and the columnar epithelium relies on the inner side. After menstruation, the columnar epithelium is affected by estrogen and develops outward, so cervical examination finds more similar "erosion" of the columnar epithelium. After menopause, women's estrogen levels decrease, and the columnar epithelium begins to return to the inside. At this time, the "erosion" cannot be seen during examination.

Cervical columnar epithelial ectopy does not require any treatment, and many current methods of treating cervical erosion are wrong. However, symptomatic cervicitis requires treatment. Acute inflammation is treated with suppositories, and chronic inflammation can be treated with physical therapy such as laser or freezing.
