What to do with uterine fibroids

What to do about uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids can be treated through general treatment, oral medications, surgery, etc.

1. General treatment:

The cause of uterine fibroids is not completely clear. Studies have shown that it is related to stem cell dysfunction, abnormal sex hormone levels, and genetic factors. It can easily lead to symptoms such as menstruation, vaginal discharge, abnormal vaginal bleeding, and lower abdominal swelling. As uterine fibroids gradually increase, they may compress the bladder and ureters, leading to urine retention and dysuria. Patients do not need treatment, but need to have a checkup every 3 to 6 months to understand the development of the disease.

2. Oral medication:

Patients with uterine fibroids can take mifepristone tablets, tranexamic acid tablets, dydrogesterone tablets and other drugs under the guidance of a doctor, which can control the growth of fibroids, reduce damage to the uterus, and facilitate recovery from the disease.

3. Surgery:

If the condition is more serious, the uterine fibroids have been growing gradually, and there is no obvious effect through general treatment and oral medications, you need to follow the doctor's advice and treat it through hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc., which can quickly remove the lesions and achieve a cure.

In addition to the above treatments, it also includes high-energy focused ultrasound, etc. It is recommended to undergo treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
