How is pelvic effusion treated? Pelvic effusion is a common disease. Some normal women will have a small amount of pelvic effusion during menstruation or ovulation. This is because the pelvic cavity is located at the lowest part of the abdominal cavity in anatomy. When there is a small amount of exudate, exudate or rupture bleeding in the pelvic organs, the fluid will first accumulate in the pelvic cavity, thus forming pelvic effusion. Physiological pelvic effusion does not require special treatment, and a small amount of pelvic effusion can be absorbed by itself. If it is pelvic inflammation or tumor effusion, the amount of effusion will exceed 100 ml, and targeted treatment is required according to the cause. 1. General treatment Eliminate patients' mental concerns, enhance their confidence in treatment, increase nutrition, exercise, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and improve their body resistance. 2. Medication If it is caused by inflammation, active anti-infection treatment should be given; if it is caused by a tumor, chemotherapy drugs should be used in combination with surgical treatment. 3. Surgery Surgery is recommended for patients with lumps, hydrosalpinx or tubo-ovarian cysts. Laparoscopic surgery is also recommended for patients with small infection foci and repeated inflammation. The principle of surgery is to completely cure the disease and avoid residual lesions. Young women should try to maintain ovarian function. Single treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease has poor effect, and comprehensive treatment is appropriate. |
