How to check for uterine fibroids during pregnancy?

1. Diagnostic curettage: For pregnant women who want to check uterine fibroids by this method, they need to find an experienced doctor. This method is to detect the depth and direction of the uterus through a probe, and then the doctor needs to feel the shape of the uterus to understand whether there is a mass in the uterus and its location. At the same time, the endometrium is scraped for pathological examination to eliminate other endometrial lesions.

2. Gynecological examination: This is also a common method for checking uterine fibroids during pregnancy. It mainly checks for intramural fibroids. The uterus is enlarged and has an irregular surface. If it is a subserosal fibroid, a ball connected to the cistula of the uterus can be touched. For submucosal fibroids, the uterus is uniformly enlarged, and sometimes the fibroids are located at the cervical os or vagina.

3. Ultrasound examination: In this method, hormones use B-ultrasound examination to understand the growth location and number of fibroids and whether the inside of the tumor is uniform or liquefied, degenerated, etc. For pregnant women, this examination is actually the main method for checking uterine fibroids.

4. Self-examination: Pregnant women can also use the self-examination method. In the morning, lie on the bed with an empty stomach, bend your knees slightly, relax your abdomen, press your abdomen with your hands, start lightly, then increase the pressure and deepen it. Some tumors can be found. This is the most commonly used method of self-examination for uterine fibroids.
