Is pelvic inflammatory disease serious?

I believe that female friends are not unfamiliar with pelvic inflammatory disease. In recent years, the problem of pelvic inflammatory disease has been particularly serious. The harm of inflammation to the female body cannot be underestimated. If you have pelvic inflammation or find that you are feeling unwell, you should receive regular examinations and treatment in time.

1. Kidney disease. The pelvic cavity is connected to the retroperitoneal connective tissue and can reach the periphery of the kidneys. When inflammation rises, it will not only directly damage the female fallopian tubes, pelvic peritoneum and other tissues and organs, but will also spread upwards and cause perirenal abscesses.

2. Female infertility. This is the most direct harm of pelvic inflammation to women. Any inflammation of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries or surrounding tissues, including the pelvic peritoneum, can lead to female infertility. If pelvic inflammation occurs, it should be treated in time.

3. Infectious shock. In severe cases, pathogens spread rapidly in the body. These bacteria often secrete large amounts of endotoxins, which circulate throughout the body with the blood and cause physical reactions. This is one of the direct causes of infectious shock, so patients should pay attention to controlling the occurrence of the disease in a timely manner.

4. Tubal pregnancy. This is a type of ectopic pregnancy. Chronic salpingitis is the most common factor that interferes with the normal functioning of the fertilized egg and is also the main and most common cause of tubal pregnancy.
