My period just ended, my vulva is itchy, and the leucorrhea is fine. What's wrong?

My period just ended, but my vulva is itchy and the leucorrhea examination is normal. What's wrong?

After the menstruation is over, the vulva is very itchy. Examination of leucorrhea may show that it is caused by vulvar eczema, folliculitis, pubic lice, etc.

1. Vulvar eczema: If personal care is not done well during menstruation, it may be caused by the vulva being in a humid environment for a long time or contacting allergens, or it may be caused by obvious itching due to local skin barrier dysfunction, but it will not affect leucorrhea. Patients can use drugs such as hydrocortisone butyrate ointment, mometasone furoate ointment, and triamcinolone acetate ointment for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Folliculitis: Folliculitis is caused by not paying attention to personal hygiene, bacterial infection, etc. After the disease occurs, due to the inflammatory reaction of the hair follicle tissue, it will cause vulvar itching and form red papules. You can use erythromycin ointment, mupirocin ointment, fusidic acid ointment and other drugs for treatment according to the doctor's advice.

3. Pubic lice: Pubic lice are caused by infection with pubic lice, which usually parasitize the hairy areas around the vulva and anus. Biting the skin of the vulva will cause severe itching, and local rashes and blue bruises will also appear. You need to follow the doctor's advice and use sulfur ointment, benzyl benzoate paint, lindane cream, etc. for treatment.

In addition to the above reasons, it may also be scabies, etc. Patients should pay attention to personal hygiene, not scratch excessively with their hands, and change and wash underwear frequently.
