Generally speaking, the treatment principles for benign uterine fibroids depend on factors such as the patient's age, symptoms, location, size, growth rate, number, uterine deformation, whether fertility is preserved, and the patient's wishes.

1. Radiotherapy for uterine fibroids: used for patients who have no effect on drug treatment and have contraindications to surgical treatment or refuse surgical treatment. However, there are certain contraindications. Patients under 40 years old generally avoid radiotherapy to avoid premature menopausal symptoms. Submucosal fibroids (submucosal fibroids with a wide base can be treated with X-rays). Necrosis is prone to occur after laser treatment, causing severe uterine and pelvic infection.

2. Drug treatment. Generally speaking, the commonly used drugs for the treatment of uterine fibroids are androgens, progesterone antagonists and traditional Chinese medicine. When choosing treatment drugs, patients must choose according to their own condition and needs, and not blindly.

If you suffer from uterine fibroids, you should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid worsening of the condition and take the best treatment measures.
