Uterine fibroids are a common gynecological disease. At present, many people suffer from this disease. But you can rest assured that there are many ways to treat this disease and it can be cured. So what about benign uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are composed of smooth muscle and connective tissue, so they are also called uterine leiomyoma. They are the most common benign tumors in women. More than 90% of uterine fibroids grow in the uterus, and only a few (4-8%) occur in the cervix, mainly in the posterior lip. In the body, it is longer than the bottom of the uterus, followed by the posterior wall, the anterior wall is half the length of the posterior wall, and the sides are the least. The occurrence of uterine fibroids is related to excessive estrogen and long-term stimulation (such as recurrent miscarriage), most of which can be detected in the early stage.

What should I do if I have benign uterine fibroids? Benign uterine fibroids are a common gynecological disease in women, especially those who have sex. Although early benign uterine fibroids have little effect on the human body, if they are not paid attention to and controlled, they can lead to gynecological diseases such as infertility.

Generally speaking, the treatment principles for benign uterine fibroids depend on factors such as the patient's age, symptoms, location, size, growth rate, number, uterine deformation, whether fertility is preserved, and the patient's wishes.

1. Radiotherapy for uterine fibroids: used for patients who have no effect on drug treatment and have contraindications to surgical treatment or refuse surgical treatment. However, there are certain contraindications. Patients under 40 years old generally avoid radiotherapy to avoid premature menopausal symptoms. Submucosal fibroids (submucosal fibroids with a wide base can be treated with X-rays). Necrosis is prone to occur after laser treatment, causing severe uterine and pelvic infection.

2. Drug treatment. Generally speaking, the commonly used drugs for the treatment of uterine fibroids are androgens, progesterone antagonists and traditional Chinese medicine. When choosing treatment drugs, patients must choose according to their own condition and needs, and not blindly.

If you suffer from uterine fibroids, you should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid worsening of the condition and take the best treatment measures.
