I had a history of pelvic effusion many years ago. I got pregnant not long after getting married, but it was an ectopic pregnancy. I had a salpingectomy on one side, and the other fallopian tube was retained, intact and without any problems. I received active treatment after the operation, but I still didn't get pregnant. Until one year ago, I had abdominal pain, especially during menstruation and after sexual intercourse. I went for a check-up and found that the fallopian tube had thickened and was sausage-like. At the time, it was said to be pelvic effusion. After a period of treatment, the examination said it was cured. I am still not pregnant now. I checked again and it was said to be pelvic effusion. Why does pelvic effusion recur after being cured? 1. Irregular treatment and insufficient course of medication. Many women will insist on treatment during acute attacks. However, after a period of treatment, when the symptoms improve, they will ignore the condition and let it develop into chronic pelvic effusion. Generally speaking, whether pelvic effusion can be cured and whether medication can be stopped requires evaluation by a gynecologist. Patients should not be their own "doctors". 2. Lack of good hygiene habits during menstruation. The exfoliation of the endometrium during menstruation causes the blood sinuses to expand, creating a good environment for the growth of bacteria. If unclean sanitary napkins are used during this period, or even sexual intercourse during menstruation, it is easy for bacteria to take advantage of the opportunity. In addition to hygiene habits, some women's cleaning habits are also prone to extremes, especially the frequent use of various detergents and soaps to wash the vagina, which destroys the original balance of the vaginal flora and is more likely to cause pelvic effusions such as hydrosalpinx. 3. Too frequent sex without paying attention to cleanliness. Frequent sex when pelvic effusion has not yet improved, and not paying attention to cleanliness before and after sex, can easily induce pelvic effusion again or aggravate the original condition. 4. Decreased immunity. There are pathogenic bacteria in the female vagina. Modern people are under great pressure in life, often staying up late to work overtime, eating irregular meals, and even dieting to maintain their figure, which leads to a decrease in body resistance. Pathogenic bacteria will take advantage of the opportunity to enter and cause pelvic effusion. 5. Repeated miscarriage. It is understood that repeated abortion is an important reason for many young women to suffer from pelvic effusion, especially in informal clinics, which leads to infection and many other sequelae. Women should take contraceptive measures if they do not have a fertility plan. If they need an abortion, they should go to a formal hospital for treatment. It is best to deal with it after the operation and have regular check-ups. 6. Bad living habits, such as wearing tight pants, sitting for long periods of time, taking a bath during menstruation, etc., may induce pelvic effusion. All patients with pelvic effusion should pay attention to the best contraceptive measures during treatment to avoid ectopic pregnancy due to fallopian tube disease; or even cross-infection of the spouse with fungi, Trichomonas, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Mycoplasma hominis, Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, etc. |
