Home care for patients with secondary amenorrhea

Secondary amenorrhea refers to a condition in which a woman has had regular menstruation but has stopped having menstruation for more than 6 months due to some pathological reasons. Common causes include endometrial damage or adhesions and tuberculous endometritis, premature ovarian failure and polycystic ovaries, functional ovarian tumors, environmental changes, psychological trauma, malnutrition and other external factors, Sheehan syndrome, etc.

If patients with secondary amenorrhea are within the normal range, there is no problem. To prevent serious harm caused by secondary amenorrhea, they should start from their daily life and pay attention to the following items.

1. Don't walk too much or lift heavy objects. Lifting heavy objects will cause abdominal force, which can easily cause uterine contractions.

2. When you feel tired, lying down and resting and keeping quiet will be very effective.

3. Don't accumulate stress. Mental fatigue, like physical fatigue, can lead to various problems. Accumulated stress can also easily lead to abdominal hardening. It is best to relax your body and mind.

4. Prevent catching a cold. Air conditioning makes the lower limbs and waist too cold, which can easily cause a high-risk pregnancy. You can wear socks and cover yourself with a blanket to prevent catching a cold.

Nursing tips:

1. Sleeping on your side

Let the mother sleep on her side and avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time to reduce pain in this area. It may also be helpful to put a cushion under the patient's buttocks when sitting.

2. Massage

Within 10 days after delivery, family members can use their palms to apply slight force to help the patient do circular massage until they feel the area harden. If the uterus contracts and the pain is severe, the massage should be temporarily stopped and the prone position should be used to relieve the pain.

3. Painkillers

If you still feel pain and discomfort that affects your rest and sleep, you should notify your medical staff, who can use mild sedatives to relieve the pain if necessary.
