How high is the CA125 level in adenomyosis to be considered cancer?

CA125 is a tumor marker, but it is not possible to judge whether it is cancer based on the value of this tumor marker. Therefore, there is no saying that a high CA125 level in adenomyosis is considered cancer. The judgment of whether it is cancer usually requires a comprehensive analysis based on the results of B-ultrasound examination and biopsy.

Adenomyosis refers to the pathology formed by active endometriosis in the myometrium of the uterus. The main symptoms are increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual duration and severe dysmenorrhea. CA125 is a tumor marker, and its normal value is less than 35U/ml. Benign tumors such as adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, or malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer may cause an increase in CA125. Therefore, it is not possible to judge whether the lesion is benign or malignant based on the value of CA125.

If the lesion is suspected to be malignant, a biopsy of the lesion should be performed in time, and combined with the results of B-ultrasound examination for comprehensive analysis. If cancer cells are found, it can usually be diagnosed as cancer. It is recommended that patients go to a regular medical institution in time for treatment, and undergo corresponding examinations under the guidance of a doctor to confirm the diagnosis, and give corresponding treatment measures according to the doctor's advice.
