Abdominal pain in the first few days after intercourse in ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is clinically called ectopic pregnancy. Sexual intercourse refers to sexual intercourse. The time when abdominal pain occurs after sexual intercourse in ectopic pregnancy cannot be generalized. There is no unified regulation on the earliest time when abdominal pain occurs. Generally, abdominal pain will occur after 2 weeks, and in a few cases, abdominal pain will occur around 10 days.

1. General situation: During normal pregnancy, trophoblast cells can directly absorb nutrients from the mother for embryo growth. This type of trophoblast has the ability to erode surrounding tissues and penetrate blood vessels to enter the bloodstream, but its erosion range is limited to the decidua layer. Ectopic pregnancy refers to the situation where the embryo grows outside the uterus and does not implant in the uterine cavity, but often implants in the fallopian tube. Because the lumen of the fallopian tube is narrow, trophoblast cells erode surrounding tissues, and local tension increases, which may cause abdominal pain. If rupture occurs, severe and intense pain may also occur. Generally, the embryo will implant and grow 2 weeks after sexual intercourse, so abdominal pain usually occurs 2 weeks later.

2. Minor cases: For a small number of people, the embryo implants and develops early, or the implantation site is relatively narrow, such as implantation in the isthmus of the fallopian tube. This may cause damage to the nerves about 10 days after sexual intercourse, resulting in abdominal pain, usually accompanied by a feeling of falling and a small amount of vaginal bleeding.

Ectopic pregnancy is very dangerous and may be life-threatening if not treated promptly. Therefore, you should go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital in time and follow the doctor's instructions to use medication, surgery and other treatment measures.
