How to delay menstruation? What are the methods to delay menstruation?

As we all know, women have their own menstrual period. Under normal circumstances, this cycle is fixed on those days every month. So how to postpone menstruation if you encounter special circumstances?

Method 1: Contraceptive pills.

Many women have had this experience, that is, after taking birth control pills, their menstruation will be delayed. This method can only be carried out when the menstruation is normal. For example, if your normal menstruation comes on the 5th, then you should start taking this birth control pill on the 1st of this month, and take it every day until you want your menstruation to end. However, taking birth control pills also has certain side effects, such as causing some symptoms of the digestive system, and a few people will have some gastrointestinal diseases. For example, progesterone acetate is a good choice. Therefore, if conditions permit, you can also choose to inject this natural progesterone acetate preparation, which will not have such a great impact on the digestive tract, but the effect of delaying menstruation is not as stable as birth control pills. Furthermore, if you choose other contraceptives, you should pay attention to choosing short-term contraceptives, which have less impact on the endocrine system.

Method 2: Take non-hormonal drugs.

Women's menstruation is actually affected by hormones in endocrine receptors, so taking non-hormonal drugs can delay the onset of menstruation. For example, mifepristone is a good choice. This method of delaying menstruation needs to be started from the previous month, that is, about the fifth day after your last menstruation. Then take 25 mg every day.

Method three: progesterone.

Oral progestin drugs will affect women's normal menstruation, such as norethindrone, megestrol acetate, etc. These are all progestin drugs. If you want to use this progestin to delay menstruation, then if your menstruation is normal, you should start taking this progestin drug orally half a month after the last month's menstruation. For example, the very common Fukang tablets or Funingkang are also this kind of progestin drugs.

Of course, if women need to postpone their menstrual period, they can go to a gynecological hospital and ask a professional gynecologist to prescribe some medicine for them. Of course, there are also some medicines that can be used to advance the menstrual period. You can choose the medicine according to your needs. In principle, if you plan to advance or postpone your menstrual period, you should start taking the medicine one month in advance.
