1. Eat a balanced diet and exercise more

Some people may experience lower abdominal distension, backache, breast pain, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, emotional instability, irritability or depression during menstruation, which are all normal and do not need to be overly nervous. For long-term irregular menstruation, you should maintain a healthy mentality. For menstrual disorders caused mainly by psychological factors, the treatment is mainly psychological treatment, with appropriate drug treatment.

3. Keep your underwear clean

Make sure your underwear is soft, made of cotton, and has good ventilation and air permeability. Wash and change it frequently, and dry it in the sun.

4. Don’t smoke and drink less

Certain ingredients and alcohol in cigarettes can interfere with physiological processes related to menstruation and cause menstrual disorders. Among women who smoke and drink excessively, 25% to 32% go to the hospital for treatment due to menstrual disorders. Among women who smoke more than one pack a day or drink more than 100 ml of strong liquor, the incidence of menstrual disorders is three times that of women who do not smoke or drink. Therefore, women should not smoke and drink less.

5. Don’t diet

Avoid excessive dieting, pay attention to your diet structure, eat more lean meat, cereals, dark green leafy vegetables and calcium-rich foods, and avoid overeating raw and cold foods. Keep a good mood, strengthen exercise, and improve physical fitness. If the symptoms still do not improve, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination in time to identify the cause so that you can follow the doctor's advice and receive targeted treatment as soon as possible.
