What factors can cause cervical erosion? How should cervical erosion be diagnosed?

I believe that most women pay great attention to the hygiene of their private parts, but even so, many people still suffer from gynecological diseases, such as cervical erosion, which we are going to talk about today. In fact, this disease is not something you can avoid by paying attention to personal hygiene. There are still many pathogenic factors. In order to help everyone figure this out, the expert interviewed Wang Caixia, chief physician of the Guangdong Provincial Armed Police Corps Hospital, to tell us in detail what factors can cause cervical erosion? How should it be diagnosed?

What causes cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is actually like a piece of clothing that we wear. If we wear thick clothes, the normal-looking skin tissue is composed of squamous epithelium, which is relatively thick, while the tissue inside the cervical canal is like a piece of gauze. Through our clothes, we can see the skin tissue underneath the clothes, and the columnar epithelium inside the cervical canal is this layer of gauze, because it is composed of simple columnar epithelium, which is very thin. If our skin is broken, we can see that the tissue underneath is red. Because the columnar epithelium is relatively thin, we can see the interstitial tissue underneath through the columnar epithelium, so it looks like it is rotten and red, and many people call it cervical erosion.

How to judge cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is not a disease, so you don't have to judge whether you have cervical erosion. But if you are worried about whether you have cervical erosion, there must be a reason. Maybe you feel that your secretions are too much, or you have back pain, or you have bleeding during sex. So at this time you may consider whether you have cervical erosion. In fact, you are considering whether there is a lesion in the cervix. At this time, you should see a doctor.

How to check cervical erosion

The doctor can directly use a speculum to open the vagina and see the condition of the cervix to determine whether this is a physiological condition or a pathological condition. Dr. Wang Caixia believes that this can be easily determined by doing a gynecological examination.

After suffering from cervical erosion, you should frequently wash your private parts with warm water, and then apply some ointment. You should also choose loose and breathable underwear, and do not wear it too tight to avoid squeezing the affected area and aggravating the condition.
