How to treat cervical erosion

1. Drug treatment Drug treatment is the most commonly used method, which is usually suitable for mild cervical erosion. Patients in this period can choose to apply antibiotics locally, such as metronidazole, sulfonamides, furazolidone, etc. The use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat cervical erosion is widely used in clinical practice, and the effect is also good. Some prescriptions and formulas are often used, processed into powders or suppositories, placed on cotton balls, and applied to the eroded surface. 2. Physical therapy Physical therapy for cervical erosion has the advantages of short treatment course and good efficacy. It is suitable for patients with large erosion areas and deep inflammatory infiltration. Common methods of physical therapy include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. Before physical therapy surgery, the vulva, vagina, and cervix should be routinely disinfected. Due to the large amount of fluid discharge after surgery, attention should be paid to keeping the vulva clean and dry to prevent infection. Sexual life, tub baths, and vaginal washing are prohibited before the wound is completely healed, which generally takes 4 to 8 weeks. After treatment, check once a month to check the healing of the wound. 3. Surgical treatment: For patients with cervical hypertrophy, or deep and extensive erosion that involves the cervical canal, traditional surgical treatments such as total hysterectomy may be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used nowadays.
