4 things not to do during the recovery period of patients with cervical erosion

Patients with mild symptoms of cervical erosion should undergo routine treatment in the hospital and should also avoid the following four things during their recuperation at home to avoid aggravating the condition and affecting recovery.

1. Don’t use vaginal wash blindly

Vaginal wash is almost a must-have personal wash for women. When many women feel uncomfortable in their genitals, they will go to the pharmacy to buy vaginal wash. However, for patients with cervical erosion, vaginal wash should not be used indiscriminately, especially unqualified products. Washing liquid will cause great damage to the vaginal environment, may aggravate the symptoms of cervical erosion, and even cause vaginitis.

2. Do not use panty liners for a long time

Some women often use sanitary pads during non-menstrual periods to keep their vulva clean, thinking that this can avoid direct contact between the vulva and underwear, and reduce the possibility of bacteria entering the vagina and aggravating erosion. In fact, this idea is wrong, because long-term use of sanitary pads can easily cause poor ventilation of the vulva and cause infection. It is best to use sanitary pads only in the short period when menstruation is about to end or approach.

3. Don’t sit still for long periods of time

Nowadays, due to work and other reasons, people sit for longer and longer periods of time. Sitting for long periods of time can lead to blood circulation problems, blood congestion in the pelvis, poor ventilation in the female perineum, obstructed blood circulation, and easy infection.

4. Don’t use condoms too often

Women who have cervical erosion after treatment for a short period of time should temporarily not use condoms, because the quality of condoms is often uneven. According to a survey by the National Population and Family Planning Commission, the qualified rate of condoms in my country is only 65%. About 70% of women with gynecological diseases suffer from cervical erosion or even unexpected pregnancy due to poor condom quality.
