Many women still worry whether cervical erosion during pregnancy will affect the health of the fetus or affect conception. In fact, cervical erosion is mostly a physiological phenomenon and does not require treatment. It is only when there is an increase in leucorrhea and inflammation, that is, cervicitis, that treatment is needed. Clinically, cervical erosion is divided into three degrees according to the size of the eroded surface: mild (Ⅰ), moderate (Ⅱ), and severe (Ⅲ). Generally speaking, mild cervical erosion has little effect on normal pregnancy. However, moderate and severe "cervical erosion" may affect pregnancy. Because, in moderate and severe "cervical erosion", cervical secretions will increase significantly, become viscous, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which can engulf sperm, affect sperm activity, hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, and affect conception. Cervical mucus contains more white blood cells, and the pH value of mucus is alkaline. When sperm passes through the cervix, not only will the inflammatory microenvironment of the cervix affect sperm motility, but the viscous secretions will make it difficult for sperm to pass through, and the inflammatory secretions will reduce sperm motility and shorten their lifespan. Inflammatory cells will also engulf a large number of sperm. In addition, some patients have endocrine dysfunction, which increases their difficulty in conceiving. Therefore, if symptoms of "cervical erosion" appear, you must pay attention to treatment. But if it is just simple, physiological "erosion", you don't need to be too nervous. |
