Uterine fibroids are one of the most common benign tumors in the female reproductive organs and one of the most common tumors in the human body. They are also called fibroids and uterine fibroids. Because uterine fibroids are mainly composed of the proliferation of uterine smooth muscle cells and a small amount of fibrous connective tissue exists as supporting tissue, they are more accurately called uterine leiomyoma. Uterine fibroids. Early symptoms of multiple uterine fibroids: 1. Pain. Generally speaking, women with multiple uterine fibroids in the early stage do not have obvious abdominal pain, but often experience lower abdominal swelling, back pain, etc.; if the subserosal fibroid pedicle is twisted, acute abdominal pain fibroids will turn red, causing severe abdominal pain and fever. 2. Menstrual changes. The most common changes are shortened menstrual cycles, increased menstrual volume, prolonged menstruation, and irregular vaginal bleeding. 3. In addition to the increase in leucorrhea, sometimes there is also a large amount of purulent and bloody discharge and slough-like tissue, accompanied by a foul smell. 4. Compression symptoms. Since uterine fibroids grow forward or backward, they are likely to compress the bladder, urethra or rectum, leading to frequent urination, dysuria, urinary retention or constipation; if the tumor develops to both sides, broad ligament fibroids will form, and compression of the ureter may lead to hydroureter or hydronephrosis; in addition, if the pelvic blood vessels and lymphatic vessels are compressed, it will cause edema of the lower limbs. 5. Abdominal mass. There is abdominal distension. When pressing the lower abdomen, you will feel swelling and a feeling of falling in the lower abdomen. |
