Symptoms of uterine fibroids Will uterine fibroids compress the bladder?

Regarding the symptoms of uterine fibroids, I think many patients with uterine fibroids are not clear. If patients with uterine fibroids are not clear about their symptoms, how can they understand the condition of uterine fibroids in time? Therefore, we must popularize the common knowledge of uterine fibroids symptoms.

One of the main symptoms of uterine fibroids is compression. The enlarged uterus compresses the bladder forward, and there may be frequent urination and difficulty urinating; it compresses the rectum backward, manifesting as constipation or difficulty defecating. Abdominal pain may also occur. About a quarter of patients have this symptom, especially submucosal fibroids. This phenomenon is very interesting. Submucosal fibroids are in the uterine cavity, and the uterus will contract. It seems necessary to try to eliminate it, such as giving birth to a fetus, forming an elongated tumor pedicle and prolapse into the vagina. Such patients have heavy menstruation, dripping bleeding, and obvious abdominal pain. In the outpatient clinic, young doctors often dare not check because the patient says there is bleeding. In fact, when the vagina is opened with a speculum, they can see spherical fibroids. A common problem with uterine fibroids is infertility, accounting for about 20%-30%. This may be because the fibroids in the position of the cervix or uterine horn affect the patency of the fallopian tubes. Uterine fibroids can basically be said to be benign tumors. The chance of malignant changes or sarcomatous changes is very small, less than 3%-4%‰, which is more common in elderly patients. If the fibroids grow rapidly, we should pay attention to it. Generally, uterine fibroids should not be too worried. During surgery, I often cut open the fibroid for examination. If I see fragile, grayish-yellow, raw fish, or brain-like tissue, I should immediately send a frozen section for pathological diagnosis. It is not difficult to determine the nature.

Patients with uterine fibroids should first learn more about their disease, the symptoms of uterine fibroids, and uterine fibroids. This awareness is necessary first. The above content introduces the possible symptoms of patients with uterine fibroids. We hope that patients with uterine fibroids have understood it.
