Next, we will explain the treatment drugs for uterine fibroids in detail and see how to treat uterine fibroids correctly.

Uterine fibroids treatment drugs:

1. LHRH agonist (LHRH-A): GnRHa is a new drug for gynecological diseases in recent years. LHRH pituitary cell receptors are occupied by hormones, and FSH and LH cannot be synthesized and released; in addition, LHRH has extra-pituitary effects. After high-dose use, it promotes the increase of ovarian LHRH receptors and reduces the ability of the ovaries to produce estrogen and progesterone. The drug significantly inhibits FSH and reduces ovarian hormone secretion, which seems to be effective in "drug-induced oophorectomy" and shrinks fibroids. LHRH and LHRH-A are isomers, but the latter is dozens of times more active than the former.

Side effects are hot flashes, sweating, vaginal dryness, or bleeding disorders. Osteoporosis may occur with low estrogen effects.

2. Danazol: It has a weak androgenic effect. FSH.LH levels decrease, thereby inhibiting the production of ovarian steroids. It can also directly inhibit the production of ovarian steroid enzymes. This reduces the level of estrogen in the body, inhibits uterine growth, endometrial atrophy and amenorrhea. At the same time, fibroids will also shrink and decrease. However, if used by young people, menstruation can resume after 6 weeks. Therefore, it needs to be used repeatedly.
