The size and location of uterine fibroids are different, and the effects on pregnancy are different, but attention should be paid to treatment. So, will subserous uterine fibroids affect pregnancy? What are the hazards? Uterine fibroids refer to sarcomas that grow on the uterus. According to the relationship between the fibroids and the uterine fibroids, they can be divided into three categories: subserosal, intramural, and submucosal. If uterine fibroids occur under the muscle wall and mucosa, they can cause infertility. If the intramural fibroids are large and protrude from the uterine cavity, they will change the shape of the uterine cavity, block the fallopian tubes, or affect the rising speed of sperm, hindering sperm from passing through the fallopian tubes to combine with eggs, or hindering the smooth passage of fertilized eggs through the fallopian tubes, causing ectopic pregnancy. However, this does not mean that all women with uterine fibroids can no longer get pregnant. If the fibroids are small and the growth site is close to the serosa, pregnancy is possible. It should be noted that during pregnancy, the uterus is very rich in blood supply, which can cause rapid growth of fibroids, pain, and even premature birth. When the fibroids are larger, it can lead to abnormal fetal position, limited fetal growth, low placenta or previa. Dystocia during delivery and heavy postpartum hemorrhage The hazards of subserosal uterine fibroids are: 1. Fibroid infection is mostly caused by tumor pedicle torsion or acute endometritis, and hematogenous infection is extremely rare. The infection is sometimes purulent, and in a few cases, abscesses form in the tumor tissue. 2. After the subserosal myoma pedicle is twisted, intestinal adhesion occurs, which may be infected with intestinal bacteria. The inflammatory myoma adheres to the uterine appendages, causing purulent inflammation. 3. Submucosal fibroids are most susceptible to infection and often coexist with acute endometritis after abortion or in the puerperium. 4. Subserosal fibroids may twist at the pedicle, causing acute abdominal pain. |
