What are the causes of uterine fibroids and what are the treatment drugs for uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are divided into uterine fibroids (92%) and cervical fibroids (8%). According to the relationship between the fibroids and the uterine muscle wall, they are divided into intramural fibroids, subserosal fibroids and submucosal fibroids. So what are the causes of uterine fibroids? So far, the etiology and pathogenesis of uterine fibroids are still unclear and may be related to the following aspects. Cytogenetic studies have shown that 25-50% of uterine fibroids have cytogenetic abnormalities, including chromosome 12 and chromosome 17 segment exchange, chromosome 12 weight exclusion, and chromosome 7 deletion. There are increased expression levels of multiple growth factors and their receptors in uterine fibroids. They are considered to be mediators or effectors of increased ovarian hormones during the formation of uterine fibroids, but the possibility of abnormal primary regulation of one or more growth factors cannot be ruled out.

Uterine fibroids usually contain excessive extracellular media, which mainly contain fibroblasts and their collagen types I and III. The interaction between fibroid cells and fibroblasts and various growth factors provides a suitable microenvironment for the formation and growth of fibroids. At present, molecular biological studies believe that uterine fibroids are formed by the proliferation of monoclonal smooth muscle cells, and multiple uterine fibroids are formed by different clones. It is not clear whether the above factors play different roles in the formation of different clones.

There are many drugs for treating uterine fibroids. Here are a few: Guizhi Fuling Capsule: Modern clinical application and practical research have shown that Guizhi Fuling Capsule also has the effect of dilating blood vessels, increasing organ blood flow, and improving hemodynamics in the clinical treatment of uterine fibroids. Dangui Capsule: This medicine is used for uterine fibroids and pelvic inflammatory masses caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, with symptoms such as lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbosacral pain, heavy vaginal discharge, anal swelling, and dark spots on the tongue. Xiaoxiao Safety Capsule: It is used for breast lumps, mammary lobular hyperplasia, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, with the above symptoms.
