What should I do if I have uterine fibroids? What are the dangers of uterine fibroids?

The symptoms of uterine fibroids are mainly irregular menstruation, lower abdominal mass, increased leucorrhea, compression symptoms, back pain, etc. If you find these symptoms, you should pay attention to them to avoid aggravating the condition and affecting the treatment effect. So, what about uterine fibroids? What are the hazards?

Most uterine fibroids have no obvious symptoms and are difficult to detect. If not treated in time, it is easy to cause infertility, miscarriage, gynecological inflammation, secondary anemia and other hazards. The hazards of uterine fibroids mainly include:

1. Infertility or miscarriage If myoma tissue appears in the uterine horns, it will compress the entrance of the fallopian tube, preventing sperm from rising to the fallopian tube to combine with the egg, thus affecting pregnancy; causing uterine deformation, hindering the implantation of the fertilized egg, and hindering pregnancy. Even if the fertilized egg is implanted, larger myomas are prone to cause miscarriage due to mechanical obstruction of embryo development and uterine cavity infection.

2. Cause gynecological inflammation Uterine fibroids can cause pelvic congestion and infection, among which the infection caused by fibroids is mainly caused by pedicle torsion. After infection, the fibroid tissue of a few patients may form abscesses and suppuration. At the same time, the pathogenic bacteria after fibroid infection can invade other adjacent organs, causing gynecological diseases such as adnexitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

3. Secondary anemia Uterine fibroids can cause excessive menstrual bleeding. In the long run, patients will develop secondary anemia, which manifests as general fatigue, pale complexion, palpitations and shortness of breath.

4. Malignant lesions A small number of women may have uterine fibroids that are malignant lesions, such as sarcomas, which can cause vaginal bleeding. Therefore, uterine fibroids are a benign lesion of the uterine base tissue and basically do not require any treatment. Surgical treatment is only considered for severe complications or ovarian cancer.
