What are the causes of recurrent miscarriage?

There are many reasons for recurrent miscarriage, including chromosomal abnormalities of the couple and the fetus, maternal endocrine disorders including female corpus luteum insufficiency, and polyovarian syndrome, which can all lead to recurrent miscarriage. At the same time, congenital diseases such as uterine malformations are also one of the reasons, most of which are caused by incomplete development of the endometrium in the mediastinum. In addition, bacterial infections of the reproductive tract such as endometritis or cervicitis can also lead to recurrent miscarriage.

Recurrent miscarriage refers to the occurrence of spontaneous miscarriages that are continuous, at least twice or more, and the causes are varied. When this happens, you should go to the gynecology department for a detailed examination so that you can take appropriate treatment methods to improve the condition of recurrent miscarriage. So, what are the causes of recurrent miscarriage?
1. Chromosomal abnormalities
Both the husband and wife and the fetus may have chromosomal abnormalities. When this happens, it often causes recurrent miscarriage in women. Most of them are caused by genetic information, and some are caused by exposure to large amounts of radiation or long-term exposure to chemical drugs. Genetic chromosome examination should be done before pregnancy.
2. Maternal endocrine disorders
1. Luteal insufficiency
After a woman ovulates, the luteal gland in her body is insufficiently secreted, resulting in insufficient progesterone secretion, which in turn affects the secretion and transformation of the endometrium, ultimately leading to miscarriage in early pregnancy. Generally, there are no obvious symptoms, and progesterone injections are often used to treat recurrent miscarriage.
2. Polyovary syndrome
This is mainly caused by endocrine disorders or metabolic abnormalities in women. When the concentration of luteinizing hormone is high, as well as high androgen and hyperinsulinemia, the quality of eggs will be reduced and the receptivity of the endometrium will be weakened, leading to recurrent miscarriage.
3. Uterine malformation
This mainly refers to abnormal development of the uterus, which is a congenital disease. Among them, incomplete uterine septum is the most common cause of recurrent miscarriage. It is due to the incomplete development of the endometrium in the septum, which leads to poor blood supply and causes recurrent miscarriage.
4. Reproductive tract infection
This mainly refers to the invasion of bacteria into the pregnant woman's body, causing endometritis and cervicitis, which can lead to recurrent miscarriage. During pregnancy, pregnant women can avoid infection by improving immunity and paying attention to hygiene.
